Her Emmy winning show, and now her OWN Network, are again just a new reinvention for where Oprah wants her life to go.
3. Meg Whitman
For those of us in California, we know Meg Whitman very well as the president of eBay for 10 years, with an impressive work resume that included Disney, FTD (Florists’ Transworld Delivery), and Stride Rite – but more prominently was her run as the Republican candidate for the Governor of California last year. I would have loved to have seen an entrepreneur of this calibre running our state – but for now she’ll just have to play with her fortune.

To many of us Xin may not carry the world-wide renown however she is a powerhouse in the Chinese real estate market.
5. Doris Fisher
The name Doris Fisher may not be a household name, but her brand of clothing you will certainly have heard of.
She is the woman behind the opening of the first Gap store location in 1969, through all through the world, and then expand on the brand’s line of clothing variety including BabyGap, Old Navy, and Banana Republic chain stores. Fisher ranks yearly on the Forbes world billionaires list and is worth $2.5 billion.
So there may be just over 1000 billionaires, and only a handful of women, but it was that way about millionaires, and now in this down economy more are being made then ever before.
