SUCCESS!
In Armand’s words “Success Leaves Traces” – and it certainly does.
This was so much fun, and the first time in over a year and a half, that I have attended a show, and not been speaking at it.
This was like the old days. I sat at the front of the room like a grade-school kid, and took my own advice.
Which is:
– have a purpose for the show – and I had those written down, and accomplished all but one
– Go to shows – I did, and paid just like everyone else. The networking was terrific.
– Invest in a mentor – and I invested in two. Even though my copywriting is great, and I have done many of the top mentors already, I thought it was a chance to give Alan Forrest Smith a go – because he is from the UK – you never know if there are differences in teaching styles – and Brendon Burchard – new to scene, has managed to make a huge impact in very little time – or had a Quantum Leap as I would say. It’s always good to find out what other Quantum Leapers are doing, and add it to your skill set.
Of course met up with many old friends:
Armand Morin, Donna Fox, Warren Whitlock, Ray Edwards, Stephen Pierce, Mark Victor Hansen, Mike Stewart
Met up with subscribers on my list who came and introduced themselves – very well done guys!
and Met new friends:
Jay Conrad Levinson – this guy is amazing, and the world’s best hugger.
Dave Hancock
Michel and Sylvie Fortin
Kirt Christensen (awesome Google Adwords source)
Joe Polish
Jose Espana
So today’s link is I am sending you to get a free copy of my ebook “Joint Venture Basics” for two reasons.
One – I appreciate you guys, and after having seen so many people approach joint venture partnering incorrect – I thought many of you might need a refresher.
(Remember – you don’t thrust your card at someone and say my product is great, you should promote it – It starts with – WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU??) You will get much more attention and consideration.
Here is that link – Joint Venture Basics eBook
Two – It’s simply a part of why I want to encourage you to attend these shows. I know it can be overwhelming, you don’t have to go to all of them, but the second you feel like your business or projects are not completing, it’s time to go back to school. I came home with a 120 point “To Do” list to take my business to the next level.
It was inspiring because people like Armand Morin and Eben Pagan are $25,000,000 earners. It’s always good to listen to people who are making more than you.
So what is my score based on my first trip to the BIG Seminar?
A+ – and here’s why.
Great speakers
Fun Prizes – Mac Apple computers
Food like I have never seen at a conference before (shrimp, crab, pastries, pies, goodies, cracker jacks, roast beef, lamb, almost all the major food passions were satisfied)
Client recognition – he took the top and let us vote who deserved a whopping $25,000 check – winner was Jack Bosch (who by the way – donated it to charity)
Evening event – complete with comedian magician from Las Vegas
Networking opportunities galore
Well organized, well executed, good layout and amazing appearance.
Gracious host – he spoke last. In fact I tragically missed his presentation as I was already going to be home at 11:00pm and I like to be back Monday for the kids. Many hosts do this, or some don’t even speak at all leaving it up to their speakers to educate and enlighten – and I think this is a very nice gesture. Many hosts though can speak multiple times, or take some sweet slots…
In my opinion, it is the best show I have attended, and I have been to many. If you can only fit one it, put November 2009 Las Vegas on your agenda, and I’ll see you there.
