After a bit of a rough flight with Qantas - not sure why it was turbulent, but it was, so sleeping was very tough.
Left at midnight from Los Angeles, arrive in Brisbaine about 14 hours later caught the next flight to Perth, which was another 6 hours, and got to the hotel at 3pm - really tired.
But when we got here - holy mackarel - worth the trip.

Already I got to spend the afternoon with Jairek Robbins, son of Tony Robbins - who will be speaking at the Lifelasting Success Summit. It was a pleasure hearing about how he learned what he did, and what he does with it today - and where his true passions reside - which is the underbelly of how successful people think, how they got to where they are today. What thought processes were involved, decisions made, risks taken - it is a great study.

Day 2 - started out really slow. Doors opened up at 9am, Mark Anastasi opened the show again with more great information on email marketing.
It went from 480 standing room only, spilling out of the room, to 90.
By 10am though, it was much better, about 274, so I had a great crowd to work with. Seems the natural transportation - the tube - runs infrequently, unlike every few minutes on the weekdays.

Then I was up, and I rocked it. Great results, great crowd, great people that joined my community.
I met all of them over the course of the show.
It was so wonderful to have live success stories Janet Swift - who said she was amazed I would follow up with her, when she slacked off. I never really thought about it - but I guess that is rare. I call it caring, and wanting success for my clients. :)
Wow - what a day - the room housed 400 people, and it was overflowing by 9am.
They were standing by 10am, and it was clear this room was not going to house the conference - so another well done by Mark Anastasi.
I speak tomorrow, so am looking forward to a similar crowd, because for a Friday, this turnout is remarkable. Interesting thing to note - 95% men, 5% women - which I actually expected. Women don't think listbuilding, they think relationships.
We were close to being shut down for fire hazard. I can already see a strategy I was going to use, would be tough in this room logistically. They were packed in like sardines.
It started off with Mark Anastasi preparing the crowd for an entrepreneurial mindset versus the job mentality. He is a great crowd warmer, and had them relaxed, and ready to go.
Here are some secrets he shared:
1. Get a mentor and copy a formula - of this I of course totally agree. The reason I am where I am, is because of my mentors, and the formulas they taught me. I followed them, and they worked.
2. The more you invest in yourself, the more you earn, providing what you are learning is not how to work, but how to leverage what you have
3. Money is the value you create for other people. Add more value to more people, not just show up. Give people what they want.
4. Business is an interface between your value and your target market
This opened the door for Chuck Mallaney - who was talking about Financial Freedom through list building

Then it was time for the 'rock star' Simon Leung with his Google Update.
The day ended with Steven Essa - on webinar srategies and how to make money from them. Webinars are one of my favourite strategies too.

After getting back from the Internet Marketers Vacations Cruise, and meeting with my Dream Team Mastermind members, I started to go through me extensive live of things to do, and things to check out.
I can't share everything - there were 200 items that came off the cruise - most were websites and things to do to take your business to the next level - and we were sworn to 'secrecy' to keep that list for cruisers only.
But I can tell you what I did when I got back.
Step 1 - Bought myself a MacBook Pro. I have walked away from Windows. With 8 computers in my office, it was something I had been considering for a year, but was always hesitant as to how it was going to work.
My issues were time frame to learn the Mac, getting my data over, and integration with the office.
But the Mac books were prominent, and those on board raved about the ease of conversion, and the fact that once you go Mac, you never go Back.
I needed a new PC anyway, we already bought another WIndows 7.0 PC, and it was like starting again. So I figured once and for all, any effort was going towards the sexy, fast, fun, laptop, that would be easy to do video - which is a 2010 item for me - more video.
I have now had the PC for about a week - and most of my stuff is over, and I am so excited about learning some of the video apps which come with the system. But since I am heading to the UK - no time to play - I have loaded Keynote - The Mac version of Powerpoint, loaded my presentation, adjusted what had to be corrected font wise. Then I loaded my presentation into Pages - the Mac version of Word - and have started with that.
I am excited and eager to get into the 'goodies' of this machine, but for now will just learn the basics - because - I bought some other things that were recommended too.
Step 2 - Bought the LiveScribe Pen - this is amazing. You write, it records, it transfers to your computer, you can easily recall notes, transcribe to different languages, play piano on paper, it is hilarious. I am a big note taker at events, primarily they are all on paper because my laptop battery on my old PC sucked - so I always hand wrote. Now with hand written notes, I can avoid the retype and go right to my laptop. SWEEET. I have learned the basics, that's about it for now.
Step 3- Bought the iphone - in fact 4 of them, one for me and 3 for my kids. They were over the moon, so excited, happy, ecstatic, and even while in the store we were texting each other and laughing. I never jumped on the trend before, because I rarely talk on the phone. But when I realized I could have unlimited internet surfing and texting, we were on board - and have heavily used the feature already. I can surf in the car while my husband drives. I can surf and do emails at my sons auditions. I can watch videos and listen to itunes when I'm waiting in a boring line up for something. This has already been a blast. The monthly bill isn't so hot, but I can imagine our phone minutes will be rolling over month after month.
Step 4 - Go over the rest of my list when I get back. As I do things, I'll let you know, and give you the results as things unfold.
I have given myself a steep learning curve buying 3 new pieces of technology before I leave for UK and Ireland, but in the long run, I think it will benefit my business objectives for 2010.
When I get the screenflow - Mac version of Camtasia installed and figured out - then I'll demonstrate some of the stuff I have been learning.

There are 3 elements to creating an internet marketing business - I am going to tell show you how to build an online empire.
Well it was up very early, dark still, and we were already in port. I put on what my kids call "The Front of the boat channel", because you can watch what is happening from the front of the boat.
I could see buses rolling in to take care of the 3500 people that will be disembarking.
I figure we'll forego breakfast and get off the ship quickly to catch the first bus back. (Not a great decision since the first bus didn't leave until 9:30am).

As we go past Cuba again on our way back to Port Canaveral Florida, it is cold, and sometimes wet.
The day started with 5 of us presenting to the entire group of internet marketers. Ther was Joel Thierren (www.InternetMarketingISP.com - KIOSK), Tracy Repchuk, Eelco De Boor, Ross Goldberg, and Willie Crawford.
Then I grabbed a quick bite, and my Dream Team Mastermind Members got together.
We addressed each members needs, plus got them organized for the next year with plans and strategies and things to get done first.
It was very fruitful, and a great way to start the year.
I of course have my mastermind coach running me through the same thing.
Then we spent some time packing, and how we ended up with more stuff, when we practically bought nothing was amazing. It was probably all the 'warm clothing' we had to get, and the fact my son had 5 pairs of shoes (2 of them new), and my daughter brought her full warddrobe.
It was great meeting Tim, Yanik Silver's partner in Maverick Business - it looks like a fun group of people.
By time we finished dinner and was saying our good byes, it was already late. We still had some packing to do, and were among the first off the boat at 7:30am - as we had a flight out, and it was still an hour drive to the airport.
So for us it was a relatively early night, as we bid farewell to an amazing fun cruise.

Internet Marketers Vacations - Destination Costa Mesa
At last a beautiful sunny day.
We docked early, and we got off as soon as we could because we had to be back by 2:30pm. The dock area was gorgeous, tons of stores, places to eat, and a bar with a pool right in the middle. You could really have fun there if you wanted to (which many did :))
We did a trip that day, which took us to a beach, then a boat ride to a snorkel area, and more beach - which included the lounge chairs, and kayaks. It was a fantastic day, and I saw a Sting Ray, star fish, many beautiful fish, eels and other sea creatures. So vivid and clear.
It was the first times Kennedy, Celeste and Caleb snorkeled off a boat. They loved it.
We came back into shore to run into Robert Puddy.
We did the beach, kayaking, and then my daughter went for a swim, and got stung on her hand by a sea urchin. It swelled up, turned blue, and you could see the spikes in her fingers. There was nothing anyone could do, so we soaked it in salt water on the beach. After a couple of hours the swelling went down, but you could see the spikes clearly (which we were told not to pick out), and it was red and still hurt she said.
We took a cab back to the dock, shopped, ran into a bunch of people, and made it back to the boat just in time. 2:30 was way too early for such a fun port.
Another night of networking, eating, and enjoying friends such as Emma Tiebens, Irene Denver, Elizabeth Chung, Jason Henderson, Simon, Max Action, and more. Also caught up with Ross Goldberg who is at Stompernet now.
A day at sea tomorrow, and another sail by Cuba. Our sail out we discovered was so rough because of the earthquakes in Haiti. It was horrific what happened to them, and even on the ship we were being kept up to date on the status.
There was even an earthquake in California, but because of the Haiti quakes and after math, it was barely noticed unless you were in it (which some of our friends were).
Mike Filsaime has spoken more than ever on this cruise, it was pretty cool.
We also had a special dinner in the Chef's Art tonight with Jenny Armoto, Paul, Mike Filsaime, Donna Fox, Captain Lou, Warren Whitlock, Paulie Sabol, it was amazing food (I had lobster, escargot, and 2 desserts), and conversation.
We went back to the room late, our kids showed up shortly after us - my daughter Celeste has been hanging out with Tyler Bacak (Matt Bacak's daughter), so she has been enjoying herself. Apparently the club on the ship for teens is pretty good. Our camera is certainly full of stuff they did. :)
Tomorrow is an at sea day so I will be presenting to all of the internet marketers, and will then have a mastermind with my Dream Team members, and then we'll meet up again at a farewell networking event.
Ah the weather... it isn't raining, but it is cold.
We docked at 6:15am, and the ship opened up at 7am for disembarking, but it was cold and cloudy - so we didn't rush off. We got up late, and left about 10am. The issue with this island is we have to stay in the water, and tender a boat to the dock. There are 5 other boats here, approximately 12,000 people hit the island, and were getting ferried across all at once. Wild.
The boat ride was great, but there was nothing in Belize. The town was very poor, the people begging in the streets, and the prices geared for tourists. We did a historic tour, then went back to the ship.
The return time was 2:30 anyway - it was an early return. So we did the water slide on the boat, and watched the movie "Earth" on the largest jumbo tron outside movie screen on the seas. It was amazing. Later they had Micheal Jackson's "This is It". Then we had a networking event, dinner, and fun.
Internet Marketers Vacations - Destination Isla Roatan
Prior to this trip, I had never heard of Roatan.
Another fun night, and early morning. We hadn't booked an official excursion, and I was glad because it was cold and rainy, with intervals of sunshine.
We rented a 10 person van, and a guide for the day. What a great way to see the island. We were in charge, we drove, but the guide would answer all of our questions, and tell us where the 'real inside scoop' hot spots were.
We did the entire island.
Our tour guides name was Grace - she was so great. If you ever go to Roatan, request her. She is just outside the gates in a white building, or simply rent a car and request her.
We head up the east coast, and ended up at a condo vacation resort. It was a great area, the condos were gorgeous, the area was great too. Would love to buy one - I left my details to see how it works.
Then while we were there, there were 4 women sitting at a table, and they flagged us over frantically. Apparently they had rented a taxi, and the taxi left them, and was not coming back. They were about 30 miles from where there boat docked, and they had to catch a ferry to get aboard. They were on the Norwegian Jewel, which was also on the opposite side of the island to where we were.
So we said we would take them to their boat - we had the space.
We headed back down the coast, and stopped at the monkey farm.
It was so fantastic. We got to hold, hug and feed monkeys. My daughter Celeste was officially in heaven. There were pretty birds there as well, but not as tame as the monkeys were.
Then we continued down, and went to the beach for a while. The kids snorkeled, they said it was fantastic, while we got acquainted with the women and Grace our guide.
There was a tax lawyer, a hair dresser, a real estate agent, and I forgot what the other did. Grace told us how she had no hot water, raised 5 kids, has 6 grand kids, and lives in a shack. By the looks of it - most people did. I can't imagine taking showers that were cold, from a bucket.
We completed our beach fun, dropped the girls at their ship, and booted it back to the other side of the island to ours. The first horn blow of the ship went, warning us that was the boarding time - and we ran to get on just in time.
There were a few more stragglers behind us, who got stopped and reprimanded for being late, boarded, and then we left. The Norwegian was headed to the same place - Belize.
They took the group photo for the internet marketers, (which we didn't know about so wasn't in), had dinner, and the same thing - networking, fun, kids out late, and us all catching up.
The weather had been rough so far, we have high hopes for Belize.
(Although my husband who had already been before said there was nothing there - we would see soon.)
Got to also catch up with Matt Bacak - who we ran into at the monkey park with his 3 kids, and wife too, plus Joel Thierrion (who runs one of our hosting providers.)
Plus made a pile of new friends. Saw Simon Leung, Max Action (Matt Adams), and caught up with Jenny Armato and her husband Paul.
It was cold, very little sunshine, and those that booked a diving trip were cancelled.
We rented an open air jeep, and drove around the entire island. That was a lot of fun. We stopped in at beaches, the downtown area, and then went to see the Mayan Ruins.
These were hilarious from a marketing perspective - it was a real life physical upsell.
The cost to get in was $3 each. So you walk in, there were a few shops, a place to get a drink, and a bathroom. You walk another 50 feet, and there was another hut. Oh, you want to see the ruins - that was another $3.75. It was hilarious.

So we paid the money, and went and saw the ruins. When I get a chance, I will upload pictures too.
The internet connection on the ship is abysmal. You can't deal with anything but quick text blasts.
We did a few beaches, and then headed back to the ship.
Overall a nice place, and if it was sunny, a great snorkel and beach destination.
Back on the ship it was another amazing supper, and the night life.
The difference now is my kids have joined a club called the Circle C - and are now hanging around the other kids on the ship. They come back about 1am. Despite the weather they are already glad we came.
Sweet mother of God - loading the ship this year was brutal. It was freeeeeeezing in Orlando. We had brought very little warm clothing, just a jacket, but it was sleet, rain, 40 degrees and windy.
Thank God we were VIPs. We got to go to the short line, got into the building quickly (as others froze outside upwards of an hour), got taken to a lovely little office with fruit and chocolates (while others lined up for ages), and then given our tickets and boarded the ship.
We went up to our penthouse suite, and when we got into it there was one bed (and 5 of us). WTH. We searched frantically for guidance, a concierge, a phone number, and at last as a steward was passing we asked if this was the penthouse, and he said it was the largest room on the ship.
OMG - really. So that was it. There was a pull out bed, but when you pay almost $10,000 - you think more than a king bed, and bathroom, and a pull out couch. Apparently on a ship - not.
So if you are traveling with your family and are used to sticking together - you will need to buy separate suites. (which we will do next year).
We left our luggage and went upstairs to deck 10 to eat. It was buffet style, so there were long line ups and searching for a table was chaos (because usually we simply go outside onto a deck chair, or table out there - but it was too cold). Food was great as usual though. Last year we saw internet marketers immediately, but this year the boat housed 3500 people so it was very busy.
We had a meeting at 7pm before our supper at 8:15pm.
At 8:15 we went in to our assigned tables, and the fun began.
Dinner was spectacular.

After dinner and dessert (I may have had 2 of them :) - we went to Karaoke (I sang Jack and Diane), then there was an hour wait so we went to the Caliente to dance.
My kids head up to the room about 11pm, and we were later than that.
Tomorrow is Day 1 at sea - so we will start with a mastermind session with all the internet marketers, and in the afternoon I'll have one with my own team.
Weather still sucks, but we'll be busy. Seas are a bit rough - we are all fine - but my son is a bit delicate.
Another exciting year is about to begin as we are about to embark on the Carnival Cruise Dream. This year 468 internet marketers are gathering at sea to network, learn, mastermind, and have fun.
We spent our first night in Orlando at the Four Points Sheraton, with a welcome reception. It was great to see faces of people we haven't seen in some cases since the last cruise.
As soon as I got off the airport bus, there was Robert Puddy, Soren Jordensen, and Cindy Battye. Into the door was John Walker (Jeff Walker's brother - Product Launch Formula and Product Launch Manager), Donna Fox, Jason Henderson (Big Jason), Captain Lou, Mike Filsaime, Tom Beal, and many more.
Orlando was freezing though. It was cold, rainy, windy, and we hoped for better weather when we depart tomorrow to Port Canaveral where the boat will embark.
It was about to be Internet Marketing from Scratch - Again
And to tell you the truth, I was embarrassed to share it originally.
I discovered on Thurday January 3rd that my main site www.Marketing-Makeover-Miracles.com was down. No big deal right, it's just one site.
No - it is the hinge that ties my 200 sites together - let me tell you why I had to follow my own advice faster than ever.
For those of you who hadn't heard from me in 5 days, which would be everyone on my list, we were told from our hosting provider they were compromised, they used words like hacked, terrorists, and indicated everything was gone.
That means my lists - over 15,000 contacts, all clients.
Literally without that list - I had no business.
I don't think I realized how dependant I was on my list. I knew it generated me money, but forgot it held all of my clients, all of my purchasers, everything.
No way to make money, get in touch with anyone, in other words, I was starting again.
It was 5 full days - and not only did we not hear from them, the main phone number on the hosting site, was out of service.
Lessons learned that I hope you can benefit from:
- use a third party such as Aweber. I originally followed the advice of my mentor Matt Bacak and used autoresponse plus. Benefits are unlimited lists, pay once. Bad points and what I am experiencing now - prone to security breech. The host was also a suggestion as well, I believe it is now time to change - because it wasn't cheap, and now it has been breeched.
- Backup the list myself every week - kind of like closing the barn doors after the horses have left - but they reported they had no access to recover the lists, and I had no back end access to try to get the data myself.
- Keep your domain names at a seperate location from where you host - if I had transferred those few domains that reside there (my other 200 sites are elsewhere), I could be redirecting, and the only loss is my list, but the site would still be building.
So why was it so devastating at the moment....
1. No list - no backup - no idea who my clients were - especially those that had paid me to directly mentor them - ultimately no business
2. That site - www.marketing-makeover-miracles.com was down - which meant my autresponder was down, and all 200 other landing pages, and sites - link to that site/location to access the autoresponder.
3. It would have meant starting from scratch with Aweber, and changing every single landing page autoresponder link with new code to go to aweber
4. The work involved in doing this, was enormous. The time long. And the result, sites back where they were - no forward motion.
5. I was away. I couldn't believe it. The access to my materials, sites, everything was done from my master computer and I just had my laptop - so the parts I needed, weren't accessible. And to make it worse, after being in Canada, I was heading straight to the internet marketers cruise, then to the UK, then to Ireland. I am gone until mid February. Really... This had to happen now!
My year started with an amazing sales and marketing plan, all raring to go - and my business is destroyed - non existent.
I was asked by my kids who of course saw what was happening (they are home schooled via the internet so they saw from my husband's perspective what was going on.)
So they skyped me - "What are you going to do?"
What was interesting, is you really have the choice at that moment to do anything you want. Do I want to continue to be in internet marketing? Do I want to be just an author? A scriptwriter? Go to the theatre? Become just a speaker, not a platform speaker? What did I want to do?
It was a reboot moment.
Fresh start.... So what did I want that fresh start to be?
Internet Marketing - how cool is that!
Even with the massive hurdle. The collapse of what I had built. The string of errors that caused me to not have a sufficient backup. The reliance I held with the hosting provider, and what that cost me. I want to be an internet marketer.
In fact, starting again didn't even scare me.
I know what I am doing. I know exactly the steps needed to start again. I know how to list build. So I am here to start again.
It is a wild and crazy adventure into which I am standing at the front door, ready to quantum leap my way back in business.
It was massively empowering to know that the real power of my business, is me :)

Happy New Year everyone - may 2010 be the most amazing and wonderful journey towards your financial freedom and fulfillment of your dreams to reality.
I have left the comforts of California to return to Toronto Canada and visit family this Christmas season. We flew United Airways shortly after the attempted attack in Detroit. We were warned to come early, as the security would be increased, and all sorts of new rules would be implemented. I was traveling with my son Caleb, so right off the bat I thought I would be impacted, but it was smooth sailing, and no problems the whole way.

We spent a few days in Niagara Falls, NY - shoppped at some local outlet malls, and then over the border on New Years Eve Day, so we could meet some friends at a local bar and then enjoy our lobster, escargot, and other treats we had arranged for our dinner/evening.
We loaded up our skype video, and I connected with my 2 daughters Kennedy and Celeste, and husband Dave - while I was with my son, mom and dad. We played Skype hangman, checkers, and all the games we could and then did a live countdown with Dick Clark's Rocking New Year's Eve.
I am preparing for the clients that I will be meeting shortly on the Internet Marketers Cruise and then heading to the UK to speak at the Ultimate Listbuilding Event. Starting 2010 off with a bang.
While here, in the frigid cold, I will be helping to renovate my parents home as they prepare to sell it this spring. That's about my check in for now. About to watch the Rose Bowl Parade, and then start removing wallpaper.
I am so blessed as I start this 2010 surrounded by family, able to help others, soon to join my whole family on the cruise, and then off to help others walk the same path I did.

The kids are off school, Celeste is heading to Knott's Berry Farm for a party, kids are doing sleep overs, Facebook is rampant with posts and greetings, and Twitter is actively setting the stage for a New Year of trend setting.
I am doing my last minute Christmas shopping, and my 2010 year end planning. Since I am away in Canada for 2 weeks with my family, then the Internet Marketers cruise for 2 weeks, (in which the whole family is coming with me), right now it's all about reflection and planning.
I am figuring out what I did right last year. What I need to improve. what I want for next year. Doing the official month by month breakdown for 2010. Teaching my clients how to do this, and getting them prepared. Setting my 'mentor' goals - who I will be seeking out next year, and who I want to help next year.
I am setting up my charitable goals - because givers get more.
And I encourage you to do some reflection and planning, before the New Year's ball drops, because the next day, it's a brand new year, and time to start fresh.
For the next few posts, I am going to be posting some questions I have been getting about myself from clients and various interviews. I thought you might be interested in the answers, and be able to use some of them in your own life.
Question:
Now I know that as a busy and successful entrepreneur, there is not really such a thing as a TYPICAL day... But if you had to describe for us what an average day is like for you in your business right now - how would you describe it? What is your schedule like and what kinds of things are you doing each day?
Tracy Repchuk Answer:
I think in any business, you need an annual sales and marketing plan, a vision and mission statement, and to know what their week and day will look like. Sometimes because it is a home based business, people get casual about what they need to be doing. Or they don’t treat it like a business at all, because they feel they haven’t really started, they have just hired a mentor, or gotten a book. The minute you decide you want to have an internet based business – which can come in the form of you want to create a product such as a book, cd, dvd, coach, sell online – you have a business, and need to treat it, and your schedule like one.
So depending on the day, I have a typical outlook, and yes a lot of randomity can happen because my kids are actors and auditions and on set requirements can happen at any time, but at the beginning of each day, I already know what my day plan is.
So I start at 7am. Not because I am eager, but because my daughter is a swimmer and needs to be there by 5:30 or 6:30 depending on the day. 7-8am – I do client emails 8-9am – I do the outbound email blasts and blog posts – whatever that may be. 9-10am – Business implement (ie. My to do list) 10-11am – Client/mentoring 11-12 – morning wrap up tasks, clients, other emails, inquiries, new business 12-12:30 – lunch 1-4 – personal development – training/study/mindset/spirituality (off location) 4pm – Take a class/learning for Internet Marketing skill 5pm – Interviews or webinar
Evenings – business streamlining and automation
In essence I work on my business now about 4 hours a day. I work on myself 3 hours a day. I help others 2 hours a day. I learn new skills an hour a day
So I don't work that hard anymore, and have a more balanced approach between me and the business. When family needs me, most things are dropped. The beauty of it, is I have it automated and streamlined, so I do make money while I sleep. And I have the training streamlined and modularized, so new clients coming through are easy for me to handle. :)

I am always in search of ways for people to make money fast, while building their internet marketing empire. I have my 13 year old daughter building her business using ebay- an area she loves. I have known about Craigslist for years, but had never used it. We had 2 things I needed to get rid of -
1. A huge freestanding, cast iron fireplace - we had ripped this out of our living room, and despite asking everyone we knew if they wanted it (for free), nobody did. So we decided to take a few pictures and wrote up an ad (like we had learned from the ebay material), and posted it. We thought it would take us weeks to unload this, given the response we had from people we knew. Within minutes an email came in, asking to come see it. Then another, another, and 2 people started to call in a frenzy. Holy mackeral - we had priced this to sell, but with a bit of barter and wiggle room too - that we didn't need at all. A guy came, picked it up, paid full price, and left within one day.
2. My daughter had a big outdoor kitchen play set and shopping cart, along with a bunch of accessories she had accumulated, but needed to get rid of. It was too big to ship for ebay, so we listed that on craigslist as well. Again, in about 33 seconds we had a reply, and another, and another. Eventually we said full price, to the first who shows up to get it. A woman came, paid, and left.
3. Then we had purchased a couch 2 months ago, and left it in the warehouse. I didn't want to take our current couch to the garage, bring the new one in, and leave the other one in the garage to rot. It was a great couch, pull out bed, Ikea. I posted it on Craigslist, sold it within the hour - went and picked ours up from the warehouse, he took the old couch, and we put in the new couch - it was amazing.
So in 3 days we got over $300. Now I wasn't really looking for money, we were looking to get crap out of our garage that was too big for ebay - and we used ebay techniques to get it sold fast.

Now in case you are not familiar, Craigslist is a network of site for communities throughout the United States and around the globe. Initially, it was founded as a resource for the San Francisco Bay Area in 1995. By 2006, there was a Craigslist site representing each of 450 cities worldwide. With a few exceptions, advertising on Craigslist is free, and postings can be placed in myriad sections, all organized into major categories.
One of these major categories is the "for sale" section, where users can post ads to sell items in any of about thirty subcategories, auto parts to video and photo equipment. There are also areas to post items that you are looking for (in the "wanted" section) or to propose trades and swaps (in the "barter" section). Also included is a section for people to sell tickets to events and shows, such as concerts and sporting events.
Tickets can be found for a variety of prices, seats and dates. Some people want to get rid of their VIP dugout seats the same night, and others are selling $30 for a game next weekend. One can also find Arena Football tickets available. The real treasure trove, though, is the abundance of concert and event tickets available.
So whether you are selling, or looking for a bargain, check out craigslist.com for both ends of the purchase cycle. :)

For those of you in the USA - I am sure you have seen the buzz about Black Friday.
