Safely in Singapore at the World Internet Mega Summit

From Tokyo Japan to Singapore at last - And now it's my bedtime!
Lost Wednesday in the air.

Next flight - Japan Air Lines - to Singapore

Nice flight, lots of room, I have 3 seats to myself and there is a TV in every headrest. Nice flight attendants - always smiling, and checking to see if you need anything, and if your in the aisle, they move so you can pass, and make it look as if you're not bothering them at all. You're #1 - not them. Nice change.

Flight went from 6:00pm - 12:30am (God knows what my time is now) but I am tired.

After wandering the airport looking for Hotel Shuttles, I eventually asked because there was no Hotel area. Finally got to hotel and checked in after 1:30am.

Thursday:
Woke up at 7:00am, got ready and, ate breakfast, and headed out by 9:00am. Caught a bus into town which was quite far from where I am.

Tips:
You do need Singapore money, so buy some.
Don't forget you need a plug conversion. I couldn't do my emails until I got one of these.
Bring sandals, it's hot. When I arrived in at 1:00am, it was still hot.
Buy a Singapore Hop On Bus Pass to really see it all.

Today I:
Went to Lucky Plaza, tons of shopping, that's Singapore from what I have seen.

Walked my legs to the bone. And by God it was hot, hot, hot. I think about 98, and humid.

I then took bus, after bus, after bus, to see everything I could. I discovered they have a bus pass from Singapore Airlines. If you travelled on this airline, it's only $3 for the whole day - TOTAL bargain. I didn't travel on Singapore, so it was $12, and it was still a great way to travel for a great price. It is called the "Singapore HopOn" and you can catch it at most 'in town' bus stops, and pay the driver.

I went to Botanic Gardens, China Town (huge), Little India, visited temples, City Hall, Lourdes Church, Marina and Boat Quay (beautiful there), and more.

I walked so much all of my clothes were wet from sweat.

I eventually bought the plug I needed, and then caught another bus back to the hotel.

Paid the $30 bucks for internet connection, and here I am. I can see I have over 500 emails to go through.

It was very cool to see Japan from the air, including snow covered mountains. Much area was very flat, and lots of fields that seemed to be irrigating water. It was like Amsterdam, sea level.

I am so close to China, it makes me want to come again and do that. I really want to see the Great Wall.

Grabbed supper and headed back to the room. Watched American Idol and Jordin win. Then at 8:00pm, I head to bed.

Tomorrow is another day to play.

Don't know what's left though, I'll see if anyone has any ideas.

See you then.

Hi Tracy,
Heard your success story at the World Internet Mega Summit Singapore 2007.

You did great, speaking to an audience of over a thousand people.

Welcome to Singapore! It's not just a sunny island but truly hot and humid.

Come visit Singapore between Nov and Feb, the weather is a bit cooler but still humid.
